|
The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between work satisfaction and life satisfaction among the working elderly. The data was Seoul Welfare Panel data made by Seoul welfare foundation in 2008 and the total subject was 354 who were working elderly aged over 60. When it comes to the research methods, frequency, descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and correlation analysis were employed using SPSS 18.0. And structured equation modeling were conducted using AMOS 20.0. The result of this study shows that the level of work satisfaction has positive influences on the level of life satisfaction of the working elderly. It is also verified that self-esteem variable has a partial mediating effect between the level of work satisfaction and life satisfaction of the elderly. This study emphasizes that high-quality jobs in elderly working field should be made for the working elderly.
